Rudolph and Co. take a look behind the CADdent scenes at Christmas

Once upon a time, a long time ago, in a land far away... Fairy tales begin like this, I'm sure you know. We won't tell you a fairy tale today, but somehow we will tell you about mythical creatures.

Who doesn't know them, the usual Christmas greetings. Last year this happened, next year something else will. We would like to thank you today in a special way for the past year and your loyalty and therefore let the colleagues speak, who are there for you every day, ensure that your orders leave the company in accordance with our high quality standard, and answer your questions on telephone and - should you be dissatisfied - take care of your complaints

Take a special look behind the scenes at CADdent today and get to know Dasher, Dancer and Prancer, Vixen and Rudolph better. You've heard these names before, but you don't associate them with CADdent? There they are: our mythical creatures, Santa's reindeer.

The story of Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer

The story of Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer is well known. Rudolph is a very special reindeer. He has a bright red nose, which - lively and curious as he is - he particularly likes to stick into things that are initially none of his business. If he is excited or angry, his nose lights up particularly brightly. When Santa Claus chose the reindeer for his mission, he initially ignored Rudolph because of his red nose. However, when the snow became so thick that visibility was too poor to carry out his task on Earth, Santa was able to remember the glow that could help him get through the thick snow. And so Rudolph was the one who saved Christmas and his red nose was the reason why.

The characteristics of the other reindeer, on the other hand, are less well known but can be deduced from their names. But more on that later.

Now why are we telling you all this? See for yourself what Santa's reindeer have to do with a look behind the scenes at CADdent.

CADdent customer service – our Rudolph

The CADdent customer service is our Rudolph - we agree on that in-house and admittedly we had a smile on our lips when interviewing our colleagues. Yes, our colleagues like to poke their noses into things that superficially do not concern them. Not all employees agree with this. But that has its justification. Because our colleagues in customer service become little detectives for you, looking for the opportunity to fulfill each of your wishes, to work out solutions and sometimes also for the error in detail.

This is what makes the tasks in customer service so varied. From here we have a view of all departments. You know our voices on the telephone - in order to be able to respond to your wishes, we are not only available by phone for you the whole working day, but are also in constant contact with all departments regarding your orders. This department knows the processes of the entire company inside out so that it can intervene directly if necessary.

“Santa couldn't have gotten the presents to the children in time if Rudolph hadn't been there with his bright red nose. This is how we act as a link between our technicians and the customers. Problem solvers - like Rudolph. Our goal is to bring light into the darkness and to provide the customer with a quick solution.”

Sometimes our Rudolph's nose also lights up angrily. For example, when the courier has to be scolded because the parcels don't arrive on time.

"We like it best when our little nose lights up because our little reindeer heart beats faster. That means we were able to make our customers happy!”

At CADdent you will experience even more reindeer

Yes, the story of Rudolph is well known, but as mentioned above, you don't hear that much about the other reindeer. But special characteristics are also hidden behind the names Dasher, Cupid, Dancer and Prancer, Vixen, Dunder and Blixem.

The heart of CADdent - our production - is divided into three areas. The three pillars we stand on: LaserMelting, milling and 3D printing. Behind each of these areas are characteristics that are also attributed to Santa's reindeer.

CADdent Team

CADdent LaserMelting area – our Dashe

Dasher is fast - so it is not surprising that our LaserMelting department compares itself to him symbolically. The fact that your crown and bridge frameworks, which are manufactured using the LaserMelting process, can sometimes even leave our company on the same day is thanks to the flexibility of the colleagues in this area. Perhaps you can still remember thebeginnings of LaserMelting at CADdent. The deadline for the receipt of data files was shorter and production time longer. Due to the willingness of the department to optimize processes and to become even faster for you, the deadline for the receipt of data files could be expanded and today we even dispatch partial frameworks (RPD) the day after the order is received.

“Dasher is insanely fast, so we would compare ourselves to him. Customers send a partial framework (RPD) today and we will dispatch it tomorrow - that's really fast!"

CADdent Milling – our Dancer and Prancer

Our milling department compares itself to Dancer and Prancer. Namely, these two reindeer prance and strut. The colleagues in this area can definitely be proud, because in order to be able to keep the low prices and at the same time the speed for you, they have faced one of the biggest changes in the company in recent years: the automation of the production process. In addition to day-to-day business, which must not be affected, a lot of time and energy was invested in the development of this automation. And even if the change was viewed critically at the beginning, it was only possible to successfully implement the project thanks to the commitment of our colleagues and their willingness to accept the change. The last step, the quality control, is of course not automated - our colleagues check the quality of the structures manually before shipping.

"We're really damn proud of our automation - this allows us to continue to ship customer orders quickly despite the higher order volume."

CADdent area 3D printing - our Vixen

Vixen is a “female fox". That is why the colleagues from the 3D printing area - the youngest area at CADdent - see themselves in this role. Intelligence is attributed to the fox, a certain shrewdness. Most developments are currently taking place in our company in the 3D printingprocess, so there is still a lot of potential. In order to make progress in this area, it is necessary to think "out of the box". This is what the colleagues in this department do - this is also evident in the development of ceramic 3D printing.

"The field of 3D printing is very innovative - that's why Vixen 'the female fox'."

JUST SAYING THANK YOU

Now you know them a little better, our CADdent reindeer, without which it would not be possible to fulfill even one of your orders. That is why we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our colleagues who give their best every day and focus on you - our customers.

We would also like to thank you here for the last year together, but especially for your loyalty and your feedback. It is only thanks to your feedback that we are able to continuously develop and become better for you. We take your criticism to heart, respond to your wishes and new or changed requirements of dental laboratories and look forward to your praise. Rudolph's little reindeer heart is beating much faster and if you look closely, you might see it glowing when you turn your gaze towards Augsburg.

We wish you, your colleagues and families a Merry Christmas, time to rest and a good start to a healthy 2023!

Do you have your laboratory open between the holidays? We are there for you and will continue to process your orders with the usual quality and speed during this time.
