ModularDenture by CADdent® - the smart plug-in prosthesis
ModularDenture by CADdent® is a patented, modular plug-in system for the model-free fabrication of a digital partial denture. The design is completely digital in exocad and, thanks to the intelligent modular system, the individual parts can only be assembled in one functionally correct constellation - for a safe and efficient restoration.
The four components of the ModularDenture:
-
Polished partial framework (RPD), made from cobalt-chrome using the LaserMelting process
-
Basal support, a 3D-printed polymer support lying underneath the retentions
-
Gingival overcast, also a 3D-printed denture component
-
Denture teeth, precisely manufactured by milling denture polymer
A NEW DEFINITION OF PARTIAL DENTURE
The highlight lies in the pins of the basal support: these fit precisely through the retentions of the partial framework (RPD) and the gingival overcast, into the denture teeth - for an exact, firm and stable fit.
The assembly is designed in such a way that it can theoretically be carried out by anyone - without any dental training. And this is precisely the idea behind ModularDenture: in times of increasing skills shortages in dental technology and rising demand for partial dentures, this solution offers real added value. In addition, this type of standard restoration is usually not very economically attractive - ModularDenture enables dental technicians to use their valuable time for more esthetically and financially rewarding work.
Thanks to the patented modular principle, functional grinding, anatomical positioning of the teeth and modeling of the gums are completely eliminated. Assembling and finishing the ModularDenture takes barely more than 20 minutes.
THE ADVANTAGES OF MODULAR DENTURE
-
First fully digital workflow in partial denture prosthetics
-
Model-free fabrication possible
-
Only 20 minutes to the finished partial denture
-
Innovation & production made in Germany
-
Increase in profitability
-
Complete reproducibility with consistently high quality
-
Significant time savings for more lucrative work
-
Efficient solution for skilled labor shortages
-
Laboratories that regularly produce partial frameworks (RPDs) but have limited personnel capacities
-
Laboratories that want to use their resources more specifically for more esthetically demanding or economically attractive work
-
Practice laboratories and dentists who want to offer their patients a modern restoration solution - even without extensive experience in the classic partial denture workflow
-
Laboratories with a high degree of digitization previously resorting to analog procedures for partial dentures, but now looking for a consistently digital solution
Digital partial denture without a model - how it works
ModularDenture by CADdent® enables the completely digital fabrication of a partial denture - without the need for a physical model. The prerequisite for this is a precise intraoral scan and a digital design in exocad that corresponds to our design specifications.
ModularDenture shows its particular strengths in the posterior region. Although it can be used also in the anterior region.
To ensure an optimal design, we recommend attending one of our courses or webinars. Together with our experts Buluthan Probst (CADdent) and Niels Hedtke (HD Academy), you will receive practical step-by-step instructions for the exocad design.
Please note: ModularDenture can only be ordered after prior training in a course or webinar. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service.
Five steps to the finished ModularDenture
The finished prosthesis in just five steps - the modular design makes the process particularly fast, safe and error-free:
-
Prepare the base support: Elaborate the pins of the saddle connectors
-
Process the denture teeth: Carefully grind retaining pins from the denture teeth and smooth sharp edges
-
Plugging together: Thanks to the patented plug-in system, the components can only be assembled in the correct position
-
Bonding and curing: We recommend the use of VITA VIONIC® BOND, a two-component system based on MMA (acrylate) - cold polymers are also possible for joining
-
Final finish: Esthetical touch and polish as usual
