Evolution DENTAL & DIGITAL

Thank you very much for visiting our in-house exhibition Evolution DENTAL & DIGITAL! After a break of several years du to corona-virus, we were finally allowed to open our doors for you again. A lot has changed in the dental industry since then – the virus has let digitization massively advance. A real evolution with many advantages is our opinion as CADdent. We presented the dental news live to our customers. State of the art at CADdent today is a hybrid information culture which actively combines digitization with personal and direct communication. This is a win-win for our customers from the dental industry and for us. Because we learn the most from each other in order to be the best.

Experience the CADdent corporate evolution up close

At CADdent, we really wanted to see our customers again after the pandemic, and on the other side the wish was just as great. That was clear to us. Time for a new start, to experience the CADdent corporate evolution up close. On Friday afternoon, April 28th, our in-house exhibition Evolution DENTAL & DIGITAL took place with almost 100 visitors. Thanks for this great feedback!

The digital workflow for explorers and innovators

In the run-up, we thought a lot about how digital innovations and a look behind the dental scenes can be brought to our customers in an interesting way. That is why we designed our in-house exhibition as an informative digital workflow for dental explorers: everyone could decide for themselves which destinations on the topics of data acquisition, data processing, machine control, production and finishing should be visited, when and for how long.

A journey with interactive stopovers

Five stops for the digital workflow, designed to be interactive:
Stop 1: Simulated scanning of 3D self-printed mouth model with light and sound technology
Stop 2: Live design of a partial framework (RPD)
Stop 3: Demonstration and independent experience of the complexity of setting the works
Stop 4: Finishing/grinding a retainer
Stop 5: Quality control - identify errors

Company tours and short lectures

The visitors found the stops excellent, as well as the exchange of experiences and the personal conversation with the CADdent experts. Live is sometimes better than online. And live it went on to the dental polishing show of our subsidiary MINDFAB, which we moved at short notice from the demo van to indoors for weather reasons. Parallel to the journey with stopovers, several company tours took place with our managing director and production manager to take a closer look behind the scenes of CADdent, MINDFAB and the Labor Rager.

There was a choice of three topics for the short lectures, moderated by Managing Director Manfred Goth and by experts from the CADdent R&D department:

Corporate evolution of CADdent

We presented the development of CADdent, which emerged from Labor Rager in 2009, and MINDFAB, founded in 2018, as your dental service providers and suppliers The story was told through formative milestones, such as the first partial framework (RPD) using the SLM process in 2010 or the LaserMelting Gold revolution nine years later.

Additive manufacturing

The focus here was on the dental advantages of 3D printing with a high degree of design freedom, which enables complex, filigree and hollow structures with a wall thickness of 0.3 mm. And that without a mold, with low material consumption thanks to selective exposure. Rapid prototyping within 24 hours. Another topic was the differences and respective advantages between ceramic 3D printing and resin 3D printing.

Telescopic crowns - additive vs. subtractive manufacturing

Telescopic prostheses are among the most technically sophisticated and complex restorations in dental technology. We presented CAD/CAM telescope techniques, the materials of choice and their areas of application in dental care as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the two production options: additive (3D printing) and subtractive (milling).

The visitors took well-founded first-hand information and news with them, explained in detail and clearly, with plenty of time for questions and knowledge transfer. For tasty refreshments among the stops of the journey, company tour and lectures, there was a the food truck available.

Successful platform for networking

The dialogue with you, your questions and our answers or vice versa were very important to us. Passing on new things, but also experiencing them yourself – This is networking! Because a functioning partnership thrives on mutual cooperation, and that worked really well. Challenge accepted for you and for us! We had the impression that you were enthusiastic about our company headquarters, our technologies and our know-how. It was nice to see each other again or to get to know each other better after such a long time of remote working. As a full-service dental service provider, this motivates us to provide you with the best services of the highest quality every day.

CONCLUSION

Gladly again! The personal exchange after the Corona break showed us how important face-to-face talks are. It is called "blended Learning": the successful, interlinked mix of new knowledge on site in direct discussions and knowledge transfer online makes sense and can be individually tailored to the participants. Personal conversations, videos, podcasts: everything is possible and feasible. Together with you - our customers, partners and suppliers - we find ourselves in a learning curve that is always exciting, always new and open to unlimited possibilities.
