From May 18th to 20th, 2023, one of the most important annual dates of the Italian dental scene took place with the Expodental Rimini 2023. The Expodental is regarded as the dental reference fair in Italy. This is why all the important players in the dental industry met again this year in the Rimini exhibition center to exchange information on innovations in the field of digital dental technology and to discuss current topics from the dental medicine and technology industry.
Main topic: Digitalisation in the dental industry
As a recognized industry leader in the segment of digital technologies, we at CADdent could not be missing. With the demonstration of our quality concepts in CAM processing, both in the additive manufacturing process (LaserMelting) and in the subtractive manufacturing process (milling technology), we were able to attract a great deal of attention from the visitors. The products of our subsidiary MINDFAB GmbH – such as zirconia and PMMA blanks, milling cutters for finishing dental frameworks and the DLyte polishing machine - were also well received. Our visitors to the stand were particularly impressed by the efficiency gained through time savings of up to 60% when polishing partial frameworks (RPDs).
During the three days of the fair, the trend that the industry is following was confirmed: digitization. This orientation is present and future. CADdent is and remains a pioneer in Italy. Once again it has been shown that we are actively shaping this future with our innovations.
Low attendance at the fair due to the flooding
The event was overshadowed by a massive flooding, which caused considerable damage in the event area. Due to the bad weather, some roads were impassable, so that the trade fair would only have been possible with very long journeys, especially for specialists from all over the north. This and also the safety risks associated with it prevented many colleagues from attending the fair.
CONCLUSION
Nevertheless, we can speak of a successful trade fair. Although the number of visitors was lower than in other years, the level of contact and the intensity of the discussions more than compensated for this fact.
