5. Plugin and tools

Data protection declaration for the use of Google

Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is a solution with which we can manage so-called website tags via an interface (and thus, for example, integrate Google Analytics and other Google marketing services into our online offer). The Tag Manager itself (which implements the tags) does not process any personal user data. With regard to the processing of users' personal data, reference is made to the following information on Google services. Usage guidelines: https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/tag-manager/.

Google Analytics

On the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of art. 6 para. 1 let. f GDPR), we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google LLC (“Google”). Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the use of the online offer by the user is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee that it will comply with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active).

Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate the use of our online offer by users, to compile reports on the activities within this online offer and to provide us with other services related to the use of this online offer and the internet. In doing so, pseudonymous user profiles can be created from the processed data.

We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymization. This means that the IP address of the user is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address is only transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there in exceptional cases.

The IP address transmitted by the user's browser will not be merged with other Google data. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by setting their browser software accordingly; users can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to their use of the online offer and from processing this data by Google by download and install the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

For more information on the use of data by Google, settings and objection options, see Google's data protection declaration (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads) and the settings for the display of advertisements by Google (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated).

The personal data of users are deleted or anonymized after 14 months.

Google AdWords and Conversion Measurement

We use the services of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, ("Google") on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer within the meaning of art. 6 para. 1 let. f GDPR).

Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee that it will comply with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active).

We use the online marketing process Google “AdWords” to place advertisements in the Google advertising network (e.g. in search results, in videos, on websites, etc.) so that they can be displayed to users who have a presumed interest in the advertisements. This allows us to display advertisements for and within our online offer in a more targeted manner in order to only present users with advertisements that potentially correspond to their interests. E.g. if a user are shown ads for products that he was interested in on other online offers, one speaks here of "remarketing". For these purposes, when calling up our and other websites on which the Google advertising network is active, a code is immediately executed by Google and so-called (re) marketing tags (invisible graphics or code, also known as " web beacons”) are integrated into the website. With their help, an individual cookie, i.e. a small file, is saved (instead of cookies, comparable technologies can also be used). This file records which websites the user has visited, which content he/she is interested in and which offers the user has clicked, as well as technical information on the browser and operating system, referring websites, visiting time and other information on the use of the online offer.

We also receive a custom "conversion cookie". The information obtained with the help of the cookie is used by Google to create conversion statistics for us. However, we only learn the anonymous total number of users who clicked on our ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive any information with which users can be personally identified.

The data of the users are processed pseudonymously within the framework of the Google advertising network. I.e. Google stores and processes e.g. not the name or e-mail address of the user, but rather processes the relevant data cookie-related within pseudonymous user profiles. I.e. from Google's point of view, the advertisements are not managed and displayed for a specifically identified person, but for the cookie holder, regardless of who this cookie holder is. This does not apply if a user has expressly allowed Google to process the data without this pseudonymisation. The information collected about the users is transmitted to Google and stored on Google's servers in the USA.

For more information on the use of data by Google, settings and objection options, see Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads) and the settings for the display of advertisements by Google (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated).

Use of Clever Reach for newsletters

CADdent GmbH uses CleverReach to send newsletters and mailings. The provider is CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstr. 43, 26180 Rastede. CleverReach is a service with which the newsletter dispatch can be organized and analyzed. The data you enter for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter (e.g. email address) will be stored on CleverReach's servers in Germany or Ireland.

Our newsletters sent with CleverReach enable us to analyze the behavior of newsletter recipients. Among other things, it can be analyzed how many recipients have opened the newsletter message and how often which link in the newsletter was clicked. With the help of so-called conversion tracking, it can also be analyzed whether a previously defined action (e.g. download of a digital offer on our website) has taken place after clicking the link in the newsletter. Further information on data analysis by the CleverReach newsletter is available at: https://www.cleverreach.com/en/features/reporting-tracking/

The data processing takes place on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.

If you do not want an analysis by CleverReach, you have to unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a link for this in every newsletter message. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly on the website.

The data you have stored with us for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from our servers as well as from the CleverReach servers after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. This does not affect data that we have stored for other purposes (e.g. for customer care).

For more information, see the CleverReach privacy policy at: https://www.cleverreach.com/en/privacy-policy/

Data protection declaration for the use of Facebook plugins

Like button

Plugins from the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA are integrated on our website. You can recognize the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the “Like” button on our site. You can find an overview of the Facebook plugins here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/. When you visit our website, the plug-in creates a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. As a result, Facebook receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you click the Facebook “Like” button while you are logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of our pages to your Facebook profile. This enables Facebook to assign your visit to our website to your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted or its use by Facebook. You can find more information on this in the Facebook data protection declaration at http://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php.

If you do not want Facebook to be able to assign your visit to our website to your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.

Facebook pixels, custom audiences and Facebook conversion

Due to our legitimate interests in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer and for these purposes, the so-called "Facebook pixel" of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025 , USA, or if you are based in the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbor, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook") is used.

Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee that it will comply with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active).

With the help of the Facebook pixel, Facebook is on the one hand able to determine the visitors of our online offer as a target group for the presentation of advertisements (so-called “Facebook Ads”). Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to only display the Facebook ads placed by us to Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offer or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products based on the visited Websites) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called "Custom Audiences"). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we would also like to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interest of the users and are not annoying. With the help of the Facebook pixel, we can also understand the effectiveness of the Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users have been redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called "conversion").

The processing of the data by Facebook takes place within the framework of Facebook's data usage guidelines. Accordingly, general information on the presentation of Facebook ads can be found in Facebook's data usage guidelines: https://www.facebook.com/policy. Special information and details about the Facebook pixel and how it works can be found in the Facebook help section: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616.

You can object to the collection by the Facebook pixel and the use of your data to display Facebook ads. To set which types of advertisements are shown to you within Facebook, you can call up the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions there on the settings for usage-based advertising: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads. The settings are platform-independent, i.e. they are adopted for all devices such as desktop computers or mobile devices.

Deactivate Facebook tracking

You can deactivate the collection of your data for usage-based online advertising by Facebook and LinkedIn on the IAB Europe OptOut platform. Alternatively, you can set a cookie here which deactivates tracking via the Facebook pixel. This only works for the current browser and the current device. If you delete the cookies in the browser you are currently using, the Facebook optout cookie will also be deleted. https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616.

Use of Facebook Insights / Instagram Insights

Facebook Ireland uses its “Facebook Insights” or “Instagram Insights” service on our Facebook and Instagram pages. If you give your consent to tracking on our website by opting in, your data will be recorded for our Facebook and Instagram fan pages. You can assert your rights as a data subject on Facebook Ireland and CADdent GmbH. The primary responsibility according to the GDPR for the processing of Insights data lies with Facebook Ireland. Facebook Ireland fulfills all obligations under the GDPR with regard to the processing of Insights data and makes the essentials of the Page Insights supplement available to the data subjects. CADdent GmbH does not make any decisions regarding the processing of Insights data and the other information resulting from Art. 13 GDPR, including the legal basis, identity of the person responsible and the storage period of cookies on user devices.

You can find more information about the Page Insights supplement regarding the person responsible for Facebook under this link (https://de-de.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum).

Use of YouTube

We have integrated YouTube videos into our online offer, which are stored on www.YouTube.com and can be played directly from our website. These are all integrated in the "extended data protection mode", which means that no data about you as a user will be transmitted to YouTube if you do not play the videos. Only when you play the videos will the data mentioned in paragraph 2 be transmitted. We have no influence on this data transfer.

When you visit the website, YouTube receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not want the assignment to your profile on YouTube, you must log out before activating the button. YouTube stores your data as a usage profile and uses it for advertising, market research and / or needs-based design of its website. Such an evaluation takes place in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must address YouTube to exercise this right.

Further information on the purpose and scope of the data collection and its processing by YouTube can be found in the data protection declaration. There you will also find further information on your rights and setting options to protect your privacy: www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. Google also processes your personal data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

Change of our data protection regulations

We reserve the right to adapt this data protection declaration so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the data protection declaration, e.g. when introducing new services.
The new data protection declaration will then apply to your next visit.
